Wartburg State School is an undoubtedly unique small school, where every child is known and valued. Our school is a place where students’ individual strengths are nurtured and developed through differentiation and individualised learning programs.
First opened in 1913, Wartburg State School has seen many changes in education and society over the years; however, during this time a successful school has been created, a school that has a strong focus on developing each learner in a challenging yet supportive environment.
Our exceptional teachers and support staff team (learning support teacher, special needs teacher, guidance officer and chaplain) are dedicated, hardworking and most importantly caring professionals who are committed to continually improving their teaching practice and using their expertise to develop and provide balanced and engaging opportunities to extend all aspects of students’ learning; intellectual, physical, social and emotional.
Wartburg State School is a caring and friendly community and we value the input of all parents, caregivers, students and community members. Students, staff, parents and community members are encouraged to participate in all aspects of school life and in the decisions of the school. A sense of community is fundamental to who we are and we encourage community involvement and work very closely with the school Parents and Citizens Association to provide quality education to our students.
