Wartburg is set in a picturesque location on top of a small hill looking down towards Baffle Creek.
It is a small school with approximately 20 students enrolled in Kindergarten to Year 6. With small class sizes teachers are able to acknowledge the specific needs of each child and to meet these accordingly. Three teacher aides assist teachers in the smooth running of classes and the school.
Students at Wartburg State School are given diverse opportunities to develop in all areas (academically, socially, emotionally and physically) through localised curriculum planning, programs, extra-curricular activities and experiences, and an array of invited visitors to share their experiences and expertise in a range of areas.
The Australian Curriculum directs teaching and learning in all subject areas including: English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Technology, The Arts, LOTE and Health and Physical Education at Wartburg State School.
A specialist teacher also provides instruction in Indonesian language.
ICT (Information Communication Technology) is integrated throughout the curriculum and is supported by a ratio 1:1 iPad/computers to students.
Wartburg State School has a committed and energetic P&C. All parents and community members are welcomed and encouraged to join.
