Wartburg is situated in the Baffle Creek District.
In January 2013, the district was awash with the highest recorded flood engulfing the land and roads. Many homes along the rivers were inundated {some over the roof}, livestock were washed away, fences and yards destroyed, but amazingly no lives were lost in this district.
