Chaplaincy service at Wartburg State School is provided for social and emotional support to students, parents and staff. Chaplains focus on prevention and support; helping students find a better way to deal with a range of issues from family breakdown, grief, peer pressure and loneliness, to substance abuse, depression and anxiety.
These services are optional and provide additional social and emotional support to students to complement existing support services within the school.
A chaplain is available at Wartburg State School and can provide support for a range of day-to-day matters affecting the school community.
Written informed consent is required for students to participate in ongoing one-on-one meetings with the chaplain.
